The historic Floral Hall will soon be filled with the music of the summer season’s favourite showman John Mann, as he returns for his 33rd season of The John Mann Music Show on Thursday, May 15. Audiences can expect afternoons of gentle music and John’s trademark humour which can be cheeky – but never crass.
The show features a mixture of favourite tunes from the 1930s through to the 1960s; including film and musical theatre classics by composers such as Ivor Novello, Irving Berlin and George Gershwin.
Each performance offers a different programme of music with plenty of ‘sing-a-longs’. John will be using his ever faithful Eminent Grand Theatre organ and the theatre’s Steinway piano.
The majestic setting of the Floral Hall makes a perfect environment for a relaxing afternoon enjoying yesterday’s music played live, accompanied with John’s unique presenting style.
The John Mann Music Show is on Thursday afternoons May 15, June 5, July 24, August 28 and September 25 – all at 2.30pm. Tickets, £7, on 01323 412000 or at www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk
