Specialising in foot-stomping Celtic music, Sussex-based Contraband bring their exciting and addictive acoustic sounds to The Lamb Folk Club on Wednesday, February 5.
Led by Ian Cairns (accordion and keyboards), the band are no strangers to the club, having left the audience demanding more when supporting The Drones last year.
With a line up that also features fiddles, melodeon, whistles, oboe and percussion, their adventurous repertoire includes traditional music from Brittany, Eastern Europe and Ireland along with their own compositions.
In recent months the band has performed at The All Saints Centre and Town Hall in Lewes and was invited to be part of the Wildheart Autumn Gathering, enjoying enthusiastic responses on each occasion.
Admission is £6 on the door and the music starts at 8pm.
