THE LAMB Folk Club presents a French Night on July 18 when Bof!, who specialise in the beautiful and energetic traditional music of Brittany and Central France, perform at the club.

Using authentic instruments, the band comprises Paddy Butcher (hurdy-gurdy and diatonic accordions), Phil Lyons (guitar, mandola and vocals), Simon Haines (diatonic accordion, bandoneon and hurdy-gurdy) and Val Woollard (bagpipes, flute, bells and saxophone).

Renowned for their instumental skills and passion for the music, the band is regularly invited to play at festivals, dances and concerts both in the UK and France.

To date they have released three CDs, the latest being 2010’s ‘Le Gai Matelot’ which showcases their versatility with waltzes, mazurkas and bourrees alongside traditional songs and self-penned tunes.

Admission to this event is £5 on the door, all are welcome and doors open at 7.30pm with an 8pm start.
