The hunt is on in the Eastbourne area for youngsters wanting to try new skills through KalliKids Sponsored Child.

Kids of all ages, from all walks of life, are invited to apply to take part in the project with The Theatre Workshop - a leading provider of performing arts training for young people aged 6-16 in Sussex.

If successful, the sponsored child gets to try The Theatre Workshop’s weekly three-hour session in Singing, Acting and Dance for free for a whole year. This would be at Causeway School on Fridays, 4.30pm-730pm.

Theatre Workshop’s creative director Lora Munro said: “We are thrilled to be involved in Kallikids’ Sponsored Child Initiative - a fabulous opportunity for children to get involved in Performing Arts, whatever their background.

“We offer top-quality ‘triple threat’ training, with all lessons taught by West End professionals. Whether you are a budding young actor, looking for a platform into the professional industry, or you just want to gain some confidence and make new friends, The Theatre Workshop has something to suit everyone.”

This is the second year KalliKids has run the Sponsored Child scheme. In 2014 more than 20 kids benefitted and this year more than 85 places will be given away nationally.
