Celebrate the golden age of entertainers

Day By The Sea tomorrow (Saturday May 16) from 10-8pm at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre promises to be an amazing look back to a golden age of entertainment.

The British Music Hall Society has described it as an all day celebration of the worlds of music hall and variety with music, comedy, guest speakers and vintage film footage.

Wallow in nostalgia with the likes of Roy Hudd, Freddie ‘Parrot Face’ Davies, Steve Hewlett, Wyn Calvin, Fiona Castle, The Plummers, Joan Laurie, Mickie Driver, Annie Riley, and Mike Hope.

In addition Elizabeth Manfield will perform in Marie: The Story of Marie Lloyd, a role for which she won and Oliver Award nomination as Best Actress with her performance of the legendary music hall artiste who sang such favourites as Don’t Dilly Dally On The Way, and A Little Bit Of What You Fancy Does You Good.
