It’s back to school in more ways than one for the youthful Eastbourne Stagers this September as they are only a week away from performing the musical Loserville at the Devonshire Park Theatre.
And it is also back in time as Stagers invite you to follow the journey of the Class of ‘71 and in particular, sci-fi obsessed Michael Dork (Mcauley Parker) and his nerdy friends, Lucas (Laurence Dengate), Marvin (Max Levett) and Francis (Christopher Smith) who without knowing it are about to change the world whilst at the same time possibly finding girls!
These girls are Holly (Hannah Turner), Leia (Eliza Jobbins), Samantha (Millie Allen) and Elaine (Melissa Davies) who contribute to the will-they-won’t-they school romancing!
With colourful costumes complimenting the 70s and a contemporary musical score co-written by McBusted popstar James Bourne, the recipe is there for the audience to be dancing in the aisles.
Keeping the pupils in line is husband and wife team Keith and Teresa Smith who for the second year in a row direct and choreograph respectively along with Fiona Dean (choreographer) and Dustin Conrad (Musical Director).
Performances from Tuesday, September 16 to Saturday, September 20 (including Saturday matinee). Tickets available from the box office 01323 412000 or www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk
