The film which brings to a close the Spring mini-season of the Eastbourne Film Society is Timbuktu.

This award-winning work plays at the Curzon Cinema next Wednesday, April 27, with seats available for the public.

Staunch humanitarian Abderrahmane Sissako who made Timbuktu is noted for the beauty of his films and this one is no exception.

Peter Bradshaw, writing in The Guardian, described Timbuktu as a cry from the heart about bigotry, arrogance and violence. It is a truly memorable film.
