ESCAPE the plummeting temperatures and enjoy some summer scenes at the latest exhibition in the Nigel Greaves Gallery.
The paintings follow last summer’s study trip to the south of France where Nigel captured sketches and working drawings that were brought back to his Sussex studio for completion during the past months. A student at Eastbourne College of Art and Design in the sixties Nigel Greaves was fortunate to study under Robert Tavener, Bob Miller and Geoffrey Flint.
In his early days at art college he had no choice but to study the masters but over the years Nigel has gained confidence in his art, working with equal ease in acrylic, watercolour, oil and pastel.
Nigel’s paintings are in private and public collections all over the world.
This latest exhibition runs in tandem with the 2011 retrospective exhibition until April 30 when the new summer exhibition opens.
