Andrew G Forrest, a prolific and highly-skilled artist, will be exhibiting his work at the Under Ground Theatre throughout May and June.
Andrew’s art is full of character and he is inspired by the beautiful scenery of France and the south of England - creating both rural and urban landscapes in acrylic, watercolour and pencil.
Grand landscapes in an impressionist style capture the light and movement of the countryside and coast, while his line drawings have a more subtle character, which none the less draws the viewer in.
Not only is the detail intricate, but the feeling of the moment is captured within the lines and markings.
Each image means something personally to him and is inspired by a particular place, artist or even a piece of art history.
So through Andrew’s work we see the world through the artist’s eyes and experience the wonder of some perhaps familiar scenes in a new and beautiful light.
This free exhibition can be seen on Fridays (10am-4pm) and Saturdays (10am-4pm) and at all times open for events.
