Verdi and Mozart favourites feature in choral society’s Night at the Opera

EASTBOURNE Choral Society will be performing a Night at the Opera on June 23 (7.30pm) at the Town Hall.

The choir and their soloists, soprano Ruth Kerr and tenor Andrew Mackenzie Wicks, together with their accompanist, Peter Burge, will be performing some favourite opera arias and choruses.

They will be singing Verdi’s Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, the beautiful Voyagers Chorus from Mozart’s Idomeneo and musical director John Hancorn will join Andrew to perform the duet from The Pearl Fishers – among other musical highlights.

Tickets cost £10, including a programme, from the Tourist Information Centre or on the door.
