THE CURTAIN has risen on Eastbourne Theatres’ summer show Gotta Sing Gotta Dance (until August 25).

This family favourite combines all the biggest musicals in one show, a talented cast of West End performers whizz through the very best of the very best.

Fully supported by a live band led by Robert Cousins, the programme boasts show-stopping numbers from Chicago, Singin’ in the Rain, Les Miserables, Oliver, Hairspray, Sister Act and many more.

The company have been intensively rehearsing in Eastbourne prior to its opening this week where it takes up its August residency.

Gotta Sing Gotta Dance began in 2008, as part of the Eastbourne Festival.

Originally conceived by Eastbourne Theatre’s own artistic director Chris Jordan and Musical Director Robert Cousins, it was such a huge success Gotta Sing Gotta Dance has gone on to tour the country and returns to the Devonshire Park Theatre for its fifth season.

The show has been revamped since its first incarnation and given a few twists but it will still contain all trademark Gotta Sing Gotta Dance favourites.

Evening performances are at 7.45pm, with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
