A cappella choir to perform atAlfriston

Noteworthy Voices celebrate a first year together with a concert at St Andrews Church, Alfriston on Saturday May 7 at 7.30pm.

Titled Something Old, Something New, the concert focuses on composers who have looked to the past for inspiration. The programme will include madrigals by Victorian composer Pearsall, Debussy’s Trois Chansons and Hubert Parry’s Songs of Farewell which were written during WW1. The sacred theme continues with works in plainchant-style by Duruflé, Messiaen and contemporary composer Eric Whitacre. Tickets are £8 at the door. Under 18 free.
