Yellows triumph in all-Town final

Eastbourne Town yellow under 11’s followed their Eastbourne Borough tournament success with another victory at the Polegate Grasshoppers event.

After losing the opening game 1-0, they went on to win three of the four remaining group games and scored 16 goals to finish in second place.

Town beat Hastings in the semi-final by a single goal and went on to face Eastbourne Town reds in the final.

It started in spectacular fashion when Charley Kendall scored seconds after the kick off by beating three players before slotting home.

The reds soon got back on to level terms when Leone Gravita struck before the break.

The game went in to extra time and near the end, Joshua Hardy was in the right place to stroke home from close range to seal Town yellows’ victory.

Town yellow team: Callum Buchanan, Joshua Hardy, Callum Knight, Keddie Croft, Alex Targett, Charley kendall, Rohan Collins, Max Duff.
