Naomi unbeaten after epic three-hour duel

editorial image

Young tennis talent Naomi Jackson represented Sussex County under 14 Girls Tennis Team in the County Cup.

Naomi played three singles matches and two doubles over the three days.

The counties were Dorset, Berkshire, and Surrey. Naomi won all of her three singles matches. Her win over her higher ranked Surrey opponenet was the pick of the matches. The match took three hours to complete including two tie-breaks. The Sussex County team performed well but they were missing their number-one player and failed to qualify for the finals later in the month. Naomi trains at Hampden Park and Eastbourne Sports Park and is seeking individual funding from any interested sponsor to maintain her tennis development.
