Flora Alessandroni won gold at the National Modern Pentathlon Championships in Solihull and bronze in the Italian National Modern Pentathlon Championships in Rome.

Flora, aged 15, was competing well above her age group to achieve her place on the podium in both events.

She is being trained towards the 2020 Olympics, and will begin competing in the World Cup Series after her A Level years at Moira House Girls School.

Flora’s training programme fits in swimming, running, shooting, fencing and riding around her school work, and Moira House Girls School have been very supportive with Flora’s time management.

Her fencing has been helped greatly by Olympic Fencing Coach, Steve Paul, at Eastbourne Fencing Club, held at Bishop Bell School.
