Eastbourne triumph in Mary Finney cup
Eastbourne Netball team.
Eastbourne netballers won the Mary Finney Cup at a netball ralley held a Hampden Park last week as teams entered from all over Sussex.
Mary was a keen netball player and laterly an umpire in the Eastbourne league. She died of cancer a year ago and Sue Ivemy arranged to have a yearly tournament in her honour.
The weather held out and a raffle to raise money for cancer research was held. Mary’s husband David presented the winning cup and medals.
