Callum Jackson helped Sussex’s Second Eleven claim victory in their Championship match with Hampshire at the Saffrons this week.
With no play possible on day one on Monday, Sussex reached 220 for 4 on day two and moved on to 277 for 5 declared yesterday as Callum Jackson finished with an unbeaten 88 and Fynn Hudson-Prentice hit 57.
With Hampshire forfeiting their first innings and Sussex their second innings, the visitors had a target of 278.
But the Sussex bowlers were in rampant mood and bowled Hampshire out for 158.
The left-arm seam of Lewis Hatchett was the pick of the bowling, taking 4 for 37 whilst Will Beer was also amongst the wickets (3 for 33).
Matthew Hobden, Chris Liddle and trailist Bradley Wadlan all claimed a wicket apiece in the 119 run victory.
Sussex Second Elevenwere back at Eastbourne on Thursday for their Second Eleven Trophy match with Hampshire.
