Big break from Grimes helps to see off Seaford

The near top of the table match between the current division one leaders Glastonbury B and Seaford Con Club, resulted in a 5-0 whitewash of the Seaford Con.

Paul Grimes pocketed a 61 break on his way to a 95-1 win over Gary Cooper, Matt Bray won his frame 48-14 against Nick Cox, Martin Holmes recorded a 47 break during his 92-40 victory over Sean Payne.

The Dain brothers Spencer and Ben won their frames 54-46 and 63-28 respectively against Gary Page and Mick Walsh.

Dolphin A got back to winning ways with a 4-1 win over second placed Hailsham MI C.

Matt Barnes stopped the whitewash with a 71 break in his 73-1 win over Paul Binks.

Eastbourne Workingmens Club A team visited the Polegate Legion to face the B team.

The Legion took the opening frame Paul Dean defeating the Workers skipper Chris Bearne 50-24.

Trevor Binks, Brian Bearn, Martin Wright (45 break) and the Snooker League President Cyril Miles winning the remaining four frames for a 4-1 Workers win.

Glastonbury F got back into winning ways with a 3-2 away win against Meads A. Andy Simpson, Mike Goodwin and Barry Frankham recorded the winning frames.

The result of week 19 was the 5-0 whitewash of Angling Club A by Bollards. Alan Mills, Paul Sellings, Mike Ashcroft, Chris Lock and Phil Marsden recording the wins.

Nuthouse B, at the bottom end of the table, pulled off a surprise 3-2 win against mid table Polegate Legion A.

Gary Jones for the Legion pocketed a 40 break in the opening frame against Gary Callingham for the solitary Legion victory. Dave Lee, Pete Roberts, Phil Feneron, and Steve Heals delivered the Nuthouse B winning frames.

HMI Rutherfords lost 3-2 at home against Glastonbury C

Glastonbury C took the two opening frames via Matt Lee and Bruce Meeks. The Rutherfords replied by taking the next two via Dave Relf & Paul White.

Mick Compton outpointed Dave Smith in the decider 75-49 to claim the match for Glastonbury C
