Barnes and Watson combine to take pairs title

The Eastbourne Snooker league have staged the finals of their competitions.

The Eastbourne Snooker Pairs Final was held at the Glastonbury Snooker Club - the main sponsors of this competition.

The match between Matthew Barnes/Peter Watson of Hailsham MIC and Martin Halpin/Glen Williams Nuthouse A, went the way of the HMI C outfit three frames to nothing.

Matt Barnes pocketed a 46 break in the opening frame to record a 67-18 frame win for his team.

Glen Williams, for the Nuthouse A, posted a 33 break in the second frame but Pete Watson replied with a 38 break to take the second frame on the black 57-48.

It was one way traffic in the third frame with Barnes and Watson taking it 78-23 and the Pairs Title.

Paul Croft of Glastonbury A defeated Dave Proud of Fish E 2-0 to win the Division two singles final 56-20 & 78-43.

Ian Collinson/Pete Bowman of Topaz won the division two pairs final 60-32 and 73-25 against Ian Clark/Tony Prout of Hailsham Club. Gary Moseley of division three champions Railway Club, took the division three singles crown by overcoming Ben Murray of Dolphin 2-1.

Gary won the first frame 67-32 with Ben winning frame two 45-21. Gary took the title with a 62-25 victory in the final frame.

Liam Brooks/Phil Fry of X.R.E.A. overcame Clive Kidman/Hugh Galt of Hailsham MI 2-1 to win the Division three pairs crown. 54-40- 12-52- 58-27.

Matt Bray of Glastonbury Snooker Club, won the Eastbourne Billiards Final defeating Peter Abbotts of Workingmens Club in the final.
