Lewes Priory 253-3, Seaford 259-4

Seaford cricketers were in superb form to claim victory in Lewes during this well contested Sussex Premier Division Three East encounter.

Imran Kahn top-scored for Lewes with an unbeaten century from 89 balls.

Seaford bowler Mark Sapwell took 2-52 from his 12 overs and Kevin Ramsay claimed one wicket from his eight overs as Lewes declared on 253-3.

In reply opener and captain Oliver Smith top-scored for Seaford with 69 from 102 balls.

Barbadian overseas player Ramsay chipped in with 22 and Ryan Hodkinson blasted 31 from 33 balls.

Mark Sapwell played superbly for his 67 and he was joined at the crease by Tom Date who cracked 32 from 25 deliveries and guided Smith’s men home for a memorable victory.

Next week the first team welcome Linfield to the Salts.
