The St Bede’s U16 netball squad progressed through the rounds of the Sussex Schools Knockout competition to gain a place in the final where they faced a very strong and skilled Hurstpierpoint side.

The two teams were evenly matched as play switched from end to end during the opening minutes. Gradually strength and composure in defence from Angela Hermann, Maisie Trafford and India Brown forced errors from Hurst which were quickly capitalised upon and converted into goals by the strong and solid shooting partnership of Aisling Gander and Jo Szczesnowicz.

The second half saw St Bede’s take control of the contest and advance their lead considerably to claim a 53-41 victory and the Sussex title.
