Rayner and Kirtley claim Aussie scalps
Eastbourne bowlers Ollie Rayner and James Kirtley both claimed Aussie scalps at Hove on Wednesday.
Rayner took two wickets and Kirtley one as Australia batted first against Sussex in the opening warm-up match before The Ashes.
Rayner picked up his first senior Sussex wickets since May 8 when he caught and bowled Michael Clarke, and had Brad Hadden caught in the deep in the same over.
Kirtley trapped Mike Hussey lbw to make it a memorable day for the Eastbourne pair.
But Australia fought back from 114-5 to declare on 349-7. Sussex had reached 156-6 by mid-afternoon on Thursday.
