Tennis coach Jenny raises £4,000 for cancer charity

Hampden Park Tennis Club coach Jenny Hughes has raised over £4,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support after running the Brighton Marathon last month.

Jenny finished the 26-mile race in 5 hours and 17 minutes – a great achievement considering she only started training in September last year and that was the longest distance she’d ever taken on.

The cancer charity is a special one for Jenny after she was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in 2006 and lost both her mother and brother to the disease in 2011 and 2008 respectively.

Jenny is still collecting donations but would like to thank everyone who has given money to such a great cause so far.
