Former World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki headlines the main draw action at the Aegon International on Sunday.
The 2009 champion takes on Alize Cornet in the second match on Centre Court with play scheduled to start at 11am.
Wozniacki is one of seven former Eastbourne champions competing at Devonshire Park in 2016 with Belinda Bencic (2015), Madison Keys (2014), Elena Vesnina (2013), Ekaterina Makarova (2010), Agnieszka Radwanska (2008) and Kuznetsova (2004) also due to take to Eastbourne’s grass courts this week.
Day one of main draw action also sees Yanina Wickmayer take on Kristina Mladenovic in the third match on Centre Court, and Timea Babos face Camila Giorgi in the third match on Court 1.
Meanwhile, in the battle of the junior Grand Slam Champions, Daria Kasatkina, winner of the girls’ singles at Roland Garros in 2014, plays Jelena Ostapenko, the 2014 junior Wimbledon champion for a place in the second round at Eastbourne in the last match on court 1.
Qualifying continues at the Aegon International on Sunday with qualifying wildcard recipient, Britain’s Laura Robson opening Centre Court proceedings on Sunday where she’ll vie for a main draw berth against No.4 seeded American Madison Brengle.
Mirjana Lucic-Baroni opens the action on Court 1 playing Olga Savchuk for a place in the main draw and Maria Sanchez takes on Polona Hercog in the opening match on Court 3.
