National hot rod star Kym Weaver picked up valuable points in rounds three and four of the English Championship at Ipswich.
Weaver started at the back of the grid in all of his races but recorded a 13th place in heat one.
The second saw him take to the outside line and was rewarded with an excellent sixth.
The final was just as good for Weaver as he battled through the field and made his way up to 10th.
Round four was at the much smaller Birmingham track. The tight design makes it very hard to overtake but Kym was one of the few cars to try the outside line. Once again from the back of the grid he gained a 14th in heat one. In heat two, Kym was up to 7th then got caught up behind a spinning car and lost places and had to settle for 11th.
A 14th place in the final keeps Weaver in the hunt for the Championship. Saturday sees the 209 team back at Ipswich for round five. For all the news and pictures visit www.nationalhotrod.com
