A 16-strong contingent from Team Bodyworks XTC almost performed a clean sweep of awards at the fourth Bexhill Triathlon last Sunday.
The ladies took the top six positions while the men occupied five of the top eight places.
Other than a large swell on the sea swim, conditions were ideal for some fast racing over the sprint triathlon distance of 500m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.
Despite a crash in the second transition, Adrian Elliott produced a superb performance to finish second in a time of 1:02.44, closely followed by teammates Patrick Hough in third and Steve Thompson in fourth (first in age group).
Luke Howard, competing in the under 16, showed his potential, finishing sixth male and first junior in a superb time of 1:10:11.
The female team members more than equalled their male teammates with Yvette Grice taking the title in a time of 1:09:15.
Grice was pushed all the way and was followed in by Emma Richards in second and Faye McClelland in third.
The three remaining women from Bodyworks, Michaela Furlong, Liz Lumbar and Beth Hall, finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively while all winning their age groups.
Other male finishers; A.Eaton 8th, M.Hannay 13th, J.Canby 19th, G.Gatta 26th, J.Ayres 43rd, D.Stringer 51st.
