The Trojans have worked their way from the lower echelons of the Eastbourne Stoolball League up to the first division.
So how must they have felt to be playing last year’s champions Geebro for their very first game in the top flight.
Congratulations to them for responding with a fine win. Simon Perry ‘s 38 setting up a score of 101. Superb bowling figures by Nick Jenner 7-36 should have given Geebro the edge, however Sharon Lewis 4-49 and Simon Perry 3-24 bowled Geebro out for 84.
Herstmonceux brought Rodmill down to earth with a bump scoring 130 with a great knock from Matt Coleman 53 not out and then bowling the Rodmill out for just 25.

In division five, Seasiders set a target of 93 which should have been comfortably within Holywell’s reach.
With four overs still to play they needed eight runs to win ,however fine bowling from Davey Manson 4-28 and Kristie Warren 4-41 ment Holywell collapsed to 90 all out.
Jevington 5-119 completed a comfortable win over Holywell 82 all out with Leonie Prowles scoring an undefeated 29.
Liam Morris 33 was the Best of the Holywell batsman. Jacob Archer 57 and Jake Lambert 25 not out helped newcomers Centra Eagles record a 22 run victory over Seasiders .
Third division Victoria owed their score of 149 to Robin Sewell 57 and Rob Goddard 43 .
Willingdon in reply managed to score 73 with Tyrone Bruce scoring 16.
British Queen were victors over Deutwag Chargers, Pete Maynard 33 top scoring for Queen.
Martin Cavie 3-20 ,Jonathan Belasco 2-15 and Rachel Panteney 4-68 restricted British Queen to 103. Deutwag could only muster 90 in their allotted overs with Jonathan Belasco 26 not out.
In division two a superb 93 not out from Adam McNaught Davis of Old Town Wreckers enabled them to set a target of 137. Lee Kenward 37 and Timothy Reading 25 not out helping Pegusus to a score of 102.
