Nine-year-old Eastbourne triathlete Sarah-Michelle Clear came 10th in Europe’s largest kids triathlon.
Clear competed in the last of the Castle series of triathlons at Hever Castle last Saturday, where there were over 700 entries and 613 finishers.
Sarah-Michelle came in 10th female and 52nd overall. It took more than three hours to release the competitors in 12 waves, swimming 100m in the castle lake, cycling 4000m and running 1300m around the castle grounds.
The next day she competed in the Hedgehog triathlon at Billingshurst and came in fourth female and seventh overall.
Sarah-Michelle has been selected as part of the Triathlon England, South-East region head to head duathlon (run/cycle/run) against the London region at the Olympic cycling Park on the October 19.
