Eastbourne player Johanna Konta believes she has improved as a player as she prepares for her home tournament at Devonshire Park.
The British No.3 who for the first time reached the Wimbledon Championships based on her world ranking of 109 said, “I definitely think I have grown as a player.
“I have had results wise maybe a little bit of a tough beginning of the year but I think I have been playing some good tennis over the last month or so.
“I’m feeling healthy, which is the main thing. I’m just looking forward to competing every week.”
On the prospect of playing in her home tournament the Eastbourne based player added, “It’s always nice to be at home and get to sleep in my own bed. Mum’s cooking all those treats I don’t get to have very often during the year.”
