Seaford fail to capitalise as MID have a week off

Seaford Royal British Legion Club, lying in second place in division three of the Eastbourne Snooker League, fell to a 3-2 away loss at the Eastbourne Fishermens Club F Team.

The current leaders Hailsham MI D were sitting out their bye week so this was Seaford Legion’s opportunity to close the gap at the top, which they failed to do.

Mick Wheeler, Brian Dyson and Steve Heather took the three winning frames for the Fish F.

Martin Coombs and Matt Pynn recorded the Legion’s two points.

Hailsham MI F entertained fourth placed XREA Railway and the visitors posted a 3-2 victory as Phil Fry, Liam Brooks and Steve Glen had the XREA wins. The HMI F skipper Andy Mozley and Derek Foster replied for the home team.

Fishermens A, the bottom team in division three, posted the top result of week 12 with a 4-1 home victory over fifth placed Glastonbury E.

Damien Mills defeated Terry Jane 62-18 for the solitary Glastonbury E win

Royal Naval Club A fell to a 4-1 home defeat by Angling Club B. Tony McPhail, Norman Lippett, Graham Elphick and Vic Padgett with the Angling Club winning frames. Charlie Anastasi recorded the only win for the Navy team with a 52-35 win.
