Relegation a real threat for bowlers

Eastbourne’s Men have struggled in the Sussex League this year having been runners up last year and are in danger of being relegated to the second division with only two games to go.

In the last two matches which were both away from home, saw the team score only four points which leaves them five points from safety.

The last two games are Falaise IBC at home and bottom team Wealden IBC away.

In the Ladies Club Championships, reigning Champion Pat Bain made a good start leading 12-6 after ten ends and 15-10 after 15 ends against Ann Summers.

Ann, then staged a fight back to level the game at 16 all after twenty ends and went on to record a fine win 22-19.

In a tremendous tussle Judy White played Sue Taylor for a place in the semi final. After fifteen ends Sue held a narrow lead 15-13. Over the next five ends Judy crept ahead 19-17.

In the next two ends Judy snatched a lead of 20-19. Then past champion Sue scored two shots to take a thrilling game 21-20.
