Eastbourne Hockey Club will host an open day for all potential and existing members.
On Saturday, September 7 (9.30am) the club will throw open its door to the public in preparation for the 2013-14 season.
All are welcome to go along to a day that will begin with games in the morning for 6-12 year-old boys and girls.
There will be a chance to see the men’s first team in action at 12 noon and a mixed senior tournament will start at 2pm for all standards of hockey player.
The BBQ will be cooking from 12 noon and refreshments from the bar will be available all day.
It will give potential and existing players a chance to register their interest for the season, test their fitness in the workout tent, view and purchase any new Eastbourne Hockey Club kit and also to find out more about Pitch-In - the club’s fundraising campaign to re-lay the astroturf at the Saffrons.
Club chairman Andy Edwards said, “This is a great opportunity for people to come along and find out what Eastbourne Hockey club is all about. All are welcome to celebrate the start of the new season.”
