Just champion with Glastonbury whitewash

Glastonbury B roared back to the top of the first division of the Eastbourne Snooker League following a resounding 5-0 whitewash of Hailsham MI A

Last season’s champions completed the five frame clean sweep with a match score of 347-56

Paul Grimes 82-12 (60 break) Matt Bray 62-9 (48 break) Martin Holmes 52-14 Spencer Dain 69-20 Martin Wright 82-1 (48 break).

Last week’s leaders Hailsham MI C fell to a 3-2 home loss by Glastonbury C.

The match was tied at two frames each, Mick Compton winning the vital last frame 51-6 against Pete Watson. Matt Barnes pocketed a 50 break in his 77-13 win over Ryan Knapman

Dolphin A got back to winning ways with an emphatic 5-0 win against Polegate Legion A.

Phil White, Paul Binks, Nik Driver, Neil Sivyer and Peter Buckland the Dolphin captain winning the last frame against previously unbeaten Gary Jones 75-26 for the emphatic win

Eastbourne Workingmen’s A put four past Angling Club A, with wins from Peter Abbotts, Chris & Brian Bearne, and Trevor Binks, the Snooker League President Cyril Miles losing 56-31 to Dave Payne for the solitary Angling Club point.

Glastonbury F recorded a 4-1 home victory over Nuthouse B with wins from Hamish Hogg, Mike Goodwin, Ian Hunt and Andy Simpson.

The Nuthouse captain Gary Callingham defeated John Lucas for the only away win.

Seaford Con Club travelled to the Glastonbury Snooker Club to play the A team, the home team recording a close 3-2 victory, Paul Croft winning the vital last frame on the black 55-44 against Gary Cooper

Fishermens Club E are still looking for their first league win of the season following another 3-2 home loss against Nuthouse A, Ian Townsend, Matt Walter and Martin Noakes recording the Nuthouse victories.

John Satterwaite and Craig Knapman chalked up the Fish E wins.
