AN in-form Joonas Kylmakorpi will return for the Eastbourne Eagles as they seek revenge with their nearest neighbours Lakeside at Arlington on Monday.

The Eagles were beaten by the Hammers on the last bank holiday weekend when the Essex side won 55-36 at Purfleet in the afternoon and 51-45 in the return fixture that evening.

Eastbourne co-promoter and team manager Trevor Geer is confident his team has what it takes to put three more league points on the board in front of the Sky TV cameras on Monday.

He said, “Obviously, it is great that we will be at full strength for the first time since the end of March.

“We know Joonas Kylmakorpi is fully fit and his results on the continent show he is in magnificent form.

“That is going to give us a tremendous lift. He has been badly missed and I know Joonas wants to get back into an Eagles’ racesuit and start scoring points for us.

“It has been a delight this week to name a full team without the problems of trying to find a guest replacement for Joonas.”

Eastbourne Speedway is ensuring fans coming to the Lakeside match will not go hungry.

Every adult, concession and youth supporter passing through the turnstiles that night will receive a special voucher that can be redeemed for a free meal at one of the stadium’s three food outlets.
