SOVEREIGN Saints’ under-9s made tournament history after becoming the first ever team at the club to win their home competition.
The Red and Black teams battled through difficult conditions but still managed to play some excellent football.
The Red team made it to the plate semi-final but unfortunately lost 2-0. However, they still came off the field smiling and should be proud of their achievements.
The Black team won a penalty shoot-out to progress to a final against Premier United. Sovereign Saints U9s played their hearts out in front of proud and emotional parents to seal the victory 3-2 and take the title.
Well done to Mackenzie Stiles, Nathan Jenkins, Sam Yates, Sonny Chambers, Anthony Gill and Jordan Willoughby on their historic victory.
