Volunteers who helped make the Horsebridge Ground pitch suitable for play were rewarded with an electrifying spectacle in the top-of-the-table clash between Hellingly and Crowborough II.

Having lost badly against Horley, it was vital that Hellingly got their season back on track and that they did with a 22-12 victory over their rivals. The home side notched first with Dave Sands converting before Tom Stone and Paul Smith added to see the score 19-0. Crowborough responded strongly but Hellingly held on for the all-important win.
