Willingdon Golf Club recently hosted the Tom Loft Trophy, with Chris Hayles taking the 2012 title on 37 Stableford points.

Four golfers were still in contention as the event entered the 18th hole, but it was Hayles who prevailed, beating Colin Wood to the trophy after a count-back of the last six.

Barry Alford and Rodger Brookwell both finished on 36 points, but it was Alford who claimed second spot after another count-back, this time of the back nine.

Elsewhere Willingdon Seniors travelled to Lewes to take part in their last match of the season.

Malcolm Rolfe was competing in his final event as Seniors captain, but unfortunately there was no fairytale ending, as he and his partner Nigel Holland were defeated 7 and 5.

Willingdon lost the away match 5 and 3, but there was some consolation for Rolfe as his side took the overall result 7 and 1.

The remaining results from Lewes are:

Keiron Packham & Rhys Evans (Halved), Mike Rham & Bob Murdoch (Lost 4 and 3), Chris Miscampbell and Colin Wood (Lost 3 and 2), Kelvin Hoskin and Jack Taylor (Halved), Rodger Brookwell and Graham Hyde (Lost 3 and 1), John Creamer and Roland Blaber (Won 2 and 1), Des Houston and Chris Hayles (Won 5 and 4).
