Hailsham Harriers saw thirty nine of their runners competing at the Eastbourne Half Marathon on Sunday, March 1 with some excellent results throughout.
Seven assisted the organisers by acting as time pacers which enabled all competitors to assess their anticipated finishing time beforehand and attempt to stay with the appropriate timed pacer group.
The final two miles back from the Sovereign Harbour provided a challenging westerly head wind.
The organisers were rewarded with good weather and crowds and with a bumper entry of 1400 runners but the final two miles back from the Sovereign Harbour provided a challenging westerly head wind. He received excellent support from Adrian Elliott 34th, Lee Ashworth 36th and Wes Mechen 53rd and for the ladies the dynamic duo of Sue Fry and Liz Lumber were placed third and fifth ladies 60th and 78th respectively.
