Richard Gasquet leads the men’s singles players in this year’s AEGON International as the number one seed and highest ranked entrant.

Gasquet, who was knocked out in the fourth round of the French Open by Andy Murray, is currently ranked at number 20 in the world.

This year will be the first time the Frenchman, who will turn 26 during the tournament, will have competed in Eastbourne.

A host of other male tennis stars are also debuting at this month’s AEGON International, with Marcos Baghdatis, Philipp Kohlschreiber and Bernard Tomic all entering for the first time.

Tomic is the youngest of all the competitors at just 19 years of age. He reached the quarter finals of Wimbledon last year before suffering defeat to eventual champion Novak Djokovic.

Tomic was given a wildcard to the 2010 Queen’s Club Championships, where he beat reigning Eastbourne International champion Andreas Seppi in the first round.

Seppi returns to Devonshire Park this year to try and defend the title he won by beating Janko Tipsarevic in 2011.

Michael Llodra, who took the title in 2010, also returns.
