Final round 72 claims junior title for Cameron

Two rounds played in good conditions over consecutive weekends saw junior captain Cameron Brown take the Championship with a superb gross score of 150.

Cameron shot 78 for the first round and 72 for the second.

His handicap was reduced from 12 to 7.

He was closely followed by Jake Nash with a gross 152 - 79 first round and 73 second round and Callum England was in third place.

In wet and challenging conditions Trevor Saunders and former Downs member Ian Framton came in with an excellent 39 points to take the Downs Genlemen Invitation title .

Father and son Harold and Gary Knight were second on 37 on countback from piratical Paul Nunney and Tim Skinner.
