Eastbourne Eagles took their chance to exact swift revenge for the recent defeat at the Norfolk Arena with 49-41 maximum points victory against King’s Lynn in front of the Sky TV cameras earlier this evening.

Davey Watt returned to Arlington as a rider replacement for Joonas Kylmakorpi who broke his collar bone following a hefty collision with Stars’ rider Daniel Nermark.

Kylmakorpi is expected to be out of action for a month while Nermark, who withdrew from the reverse clash suffering double vision, rode at Arlington and returned a respectable seven points.

However, it was the Eagles who triumphed. Watt rode at number one but it was Lewis Bridger who top-scored, as he did against Belle Vue at Arlington on the opening day of the season.

The Stars began the meet superbly and the Eagles trailed all the way until heat 10. The Eagles were then at full throttle and powered through the next fives heats to win by an eight point margin.
