Eastbourne scooter ace Dante Hutchinson was crowned UK Pro Scooter Champion following a thrilling display in Gloucester shire last weekend.
Dante, 15, claimed the title and £1,000 in prize money thanks to his consistent riding, his use of the skatepark, the difficulty of his tricks and his technical ability. The Ratton School student trains almost everyday and can be see fine-tuning his skills at the Sovereign Skatepark.
He also travel across to Bognor Regis three times per week to use the indoor facilities. Next up for Dante is a trip to Melbourne, Australia in September where he will compete at the World Pro Scooter Series.
Proud mum Sian Hutchinson said, “Dante was absolutely thrilled to win. He really enjoyed the event, he basically gets to ride with his friends but there is also a competitive edge to it as well.
“He is a very consistent rider but he is also technically very good. I think that’s what won it for him on the day.
“He can’t wait for Australia now. It will be a great experience and £1,000 prize money will certainly come in handy for his spending money.”
