Glastonbury B recorded a crushing 5-0 victory over last season’s division one champions Hailsham MI A to stay at the the head of the division one league table.

Martin Holmes, for the champions, recoded a break a 47 in his 67-12 defeat of Steve Jones.

Hailsham MIC were the visitors at the Glastonbury Snooker Club to take on the C team.

In a close contest the home team took the opening two frames via Matt Lee and Bruce Meeks.

Matt Barnes, Ash Bull (43 break) and a vital deciding frame win by Peter Watson 52-20 over Brad Soper helped HMIC to a 3-2 victory.

Glastonbury A are riding high following another 4-1 away win at Angling Club A.

Peter Lavington kept up his unbeaten record with a 51-37 win over Chris Mason for the solitary Angling A point.

Railway A entertained Glastonbury F, a 4-1 score line resulted for the visitors with Andy Simpson, Mike Goodwin, Ian Hunt and Dave Proud securing the points for Glastonbury F, the Railway A skipper Paul Goacher prevented the clean sweep with a 61-2 win over Hamish Hogg. Paul pocketed a 33 break in the process.

Hailsham MI B, newly promoted from division two, kept up their winning sequence with a 3-2 home win against Meads A, Dean Goodall, Adrian Potts and Hugh Galt with the HMI B winning frames. Mark James and Dave Field replied for Meads A.

Four man Dolphin A cruised to a 4-1 win over newly-promoted Hellingly.

The top break of the week went to Neil Sivyer a splendid 78 in his 121-1 win over Andy Lawrence.

Paul Binks was in break making mood with a fine 62 during his 86-28 defeat of Gary Parkinson in frame one.

Four man HMI Rutherfords went down 4-1 against Nuthouse A. Damien Hilder with the only Rutherfords win.

Eastbourne Workingmens Club A-team head the division two league table following a comprehensive 5-0 whitewash of Transport.

Pete Abbotts, Mick Compton, Brian Bearne, Chris Bearne and Trevor Binks with the league leaders frame wins.

Polegate Legion B joined the Workers at the top of the table following a 4-1 home victory against HMI Topaz.

Stuart Welling pocketed a 33 break in frame four with a 60-4 defeat of the Topaz captain Paul Marshall.

Dave Williams for Topaz recorded a 44 break in frame one defeating Paul Dean 70-44. Bollards recorded a 3-2 home victory against Hailsham Club A. Phil Marsden won the vital last frame 52-40 against Colin Denman for the Bollards team victory.

Hailsham MI D, last season’s run-away division three winners, won a narrow 3-2 home win over Hailsham Club.
