Mal Chumbley admits his side can forget about the play-offs if they lose at Crawley in the Sussex Spitfire Division one this weekend.
Eastbourne are currently third, 13 points behind second place Crawley but have a game in hand. The boss, however, believes his side are more than capable of winning despite losing 7-5 in a close encounter in the reverse fixture.
“They turned us over at our place and the boys are very keen to redress that,” he said.
“Another loss, especially to Crawley would scupper any chance of the play-offs. In that context it’s a must win game .”
Nick Barron is ruled out of the important clash because of concussion but, due to a lack of games in recent weeks because of the weather, is the only injury worry.
Chumbley said that despite a lack of games, the players were working hard in training and thinks they are fully prepared for the match.
