WILLINGDON Ladies enjoyed two competitions earlier this week, with the James Trophy and a bogey competition taking place on Tuesday, July 10.
The James Trophy, a Stableford competition for 28 and above handicaps, was won by former captain Carol Williams on 33 points, just ahead of Carmel Hartley and Judith Pike, both recording scores of 32.
The trophy was presented by Vera James, the Ladies’ captain in 1982 and founder of the competition.
Meanwhile, the rest of the ladies took part in a bogey competition in warm and mostly dry conditions, with Jane Jones leading the way with +3.
Linda Coomber was second and Rowena Bromwich third with scores of +2 and +1 respectively.
