Emirates and its ambassador for rugby, Ben Foden, today launched a flag hunt in Brighton to find

the official flag bearers for the rugby World Cup.

Now Emirates is giving fans in Brighton the chance to follow in the footsteps of sporting greats, and be part of bringing rugby home at Brighton Community Stadium.”

England rugby international Ben Foden

Emirates and Ben Foden will be hiding a flag in Brighton tomorrow and sharing clues on social media for fans to follow.

Open to 14-16-year-olds, the competition will give the local rugby stars of tomorrow the chance to win the once-in-a-lifetime experience of leading a team out of the tunnel at one of the Rugby World Cup 2015 matches being held at the AMEX Stadium.

Hopefuls will need to uncover the photographic clues shared on Emirates Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and find the flag in Brighton between 9am-9pm.

Once located, entrants need to upload a flag selfie, using the #EmiratesFlag to be in with a chance to win.

Each valid entrant will also be entered into a draw to win the ultimate honour of leading out one of the world’s best teams for the final at Twickenham on October 31.

Ben Foden said: “You never forget the first time you walk out with your team through the tunnel into a stadium packed full of supporters, especially for an international fixture on your home turf.

“Now Emirates is giving fans in Brighton the chance to follow in the footsteps of sporting greats, and be part of bringing rugby home at Brighton Community Stadium.

“Win the opportunity to be a flag bearer - go to the competition social media page and take a selfie with the flag and post it at #Find The Flag.

“It is open to 14-16-year-olds and we are trying to encourage young people in sport.

“Brighton’s not a massive playing area but holding World Cup matches there is a chance to reach out around the country in what is a massive competition.

“If we can encourage youngsters to go to Brighton it could lead to us inspiring the next generation of rugby players.

“We want to connect with guys still at school to make rugby a bigger and better game.”
