Eastbourne Eagles co-promoter Mike Bellerby insists the club is working feverishly behind the scenes to ensure a successful 2011 on and off the track.
Bellerby was delighted to announce the return of Lewis Bridger on a full-transfer after the 21-year-old had spells at Coventry and Peterborough last season. Coventry were believed to be interested in signing Bridger but the Eagles acted swiftly to re-capture the popular rider.
Bridger is the second rider to be announced for the 2011 season after the arrival of Dane Bjarne Pedersen. Pedersen will be the No. 1 rider with Bridger, on an average of 5.10, starting at reserve.
The Eagles are also believed to be interested in bringing back Joonas Kylmakorpi.
The ‘Flyin Finn’ was on loan at Arlington from Lakeside last season but the Essex outfit have confirmed he is not part of their team plans for 2011.
Bellerby said, “I can assure supporters we are working hard behind the scenes both on team-building and commercial matters.”
