Team Bodyworks XTC athlete Grace Cook won the European Youth Triathlon Qualifier at the Olympic Rowing venue at Dorney Lake, Eton.

In the 400m swim, 10km bike and 2.5km run, 14-year-old Grace combined a strong swim to put herself in an eventual lead pack of seven on the bike and finished off with the second fastest run of the day to stay ahead of the field, which consisted of athletes from all over the United Kingdom between the ages of 15-17.

Grace will now gain selection for Great Britain at the European Youth Relays to be held in Holten, Holland at the end of June. The event, combined with the European under-23 Championships, is held as a relay event with a team of three athletes per team.

Meanwhile, in the pool, Chloe Pollard 16, qualified for the British Youth Open Water Swimming Championships to be held at the end of July in Sheffield with a PB over 800m of 9.25.80 - two seconds inside the qualifying time.

She will join team mate Josh Pankhurst who has already qualified for the British Youth Swimming Championships.
