All-British doubles final still possible after Skupski and Delagado sucess

A possible all-British men’s doubles final is still possible after duo Jamie Delgado and Ken Skupski sailed past Mikhail Elgin and Denis Istomin in the semi-final.

The British pair beat the top seeds Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski in the first round and then overcame the challenge of Pablo Andujar and Albert Ramos to book their place in the semi-final.

They came up against Elgin and Istomin and faced little problem, recording a 6-3, 6-4 score line and holding their serve on every occasion.

Now they await their final opponents and there’s still a chance it could be compatriots Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins as the number three seeds battle it out with American duo Matt Ebden and Donald Young on court one.
