After a number of weeks inactivity due to inclement weather, the under 14s returned to league action with a home game against league leaders Heathfield last Sunday.
It was obvious from early in the game that both squads were very keen to get back to action.
The sun was shining and the pitch suited an open, exciting running game from both sides and this was exactly what was delivered, much to the appreciation of the supporters.
Eastbourne played with an excellent team spirit and demonstrated huge amounts of determination, power, strength and a steely resolve to disrupt Heathfield’s game plan.
Heathfield are not league leaders without reason and they put on a strong team performance to run out victors by 33–0.
However, Eastbourne had every reason to be very proud of the performance which also included a number of excellent individual contributions.
